Australian artist Heidi Lee Warta presents her latest series of works inspired by the landscapes where she grew up. Each original piece and archival print highlights the beauty of Australia’s native flora and fauna—its unique environments, and portraits of Aboriginal people Heidi has met along her creative journey. Central to the series are her evocative paintings of eucalyptus, or gum trees, representing the diverse species with which she has formed a deep connection and felt compelled to draw.

For Heidi, painting eucalyptus trees began as a personal journey through the bush—and eco-dying, a quiet fascination that soon became the foundation of her art career. Through her vision, and often guided by the art itself, she tells the story of Country and its gum trees. Her distinctive method combines drawing and painting on eco-dyed fabric using a variety of mediums, a slow and layered process that allows hidden stories and memories to emerge.

Now available as exquisite archival prints, these artworks carry forward the stories of the eucalyptus—the trees themselves and the little creatures that call them home—inviting others to share in their magic.
