Heidi Lee Warta works across a variety of mediums, weaving each into her artistic practice. Her Gum Tree Collection began with eco-dyed fabric, where leaves and branches pressed into the cloth created shadows and illusions—an earthy foundation for what was to come. Layer by layer, she adds painting and drawing in different mediums, each mark shaping the story and revealing more than expected.

Every original artwork holds its own tale, yet all are rooted in first encounters with the Australian bush. Magic can be found anywhere—hidden in the land, in the eyes of the artist, and in those who pause to admire. Through Heidi’s vision, the gum trees and the creatures that shelter within the eucalyptus forests take form, carrying with them a sense of belonging and connection.

In every piece, the Australian landscape is not only depicted but embodied—offering both artist and art lover a way to connect deeply with the land that sustains us.
