Why I painted this artwork:
 
The Pink Flowering Gum (Corymbia Ficifolia) inspires a playful sense of childlike magic to me. I see this tree as a gathering place for a community of imagined beings, a time in life where we feel safe and nurtured within this playful realm.
 
With a curious sense, this tree holds a mysterious and almost mythical presence, as it remains an enchanting spectacle that inspires the possibility of exploring the unknown while content in jovial celebration.
 
The pink gum elicits majesty and wonder as it hosts a sense of intrigue and invites us to participate in something inherent to our humanity, connection.
