Why I painted this artwork:
 
Finding solace in this urban bushland I call home, I retreat from reality into the realm of romance as I admire the curvaceous Angophora Costata trees majestically guarding the landscape. Distinct and endemic, they are commonly known as Sydney Red Gum, the gum tree with red or pinkish brown bark. 
 
The moon glistened over the still water and I appreciated this balmy summer evening. Absorbing the warm summer breeze over my limbs whilst cicadas vibrate in the distance.
 
This is my home in Gai-mariagal country, a special place.
